SpiceJet Baggage Allowance

SpiceJet allows 15kg of free checked baggage for passengers for all domestic bookings. For international flights, the approved baggage is either 20kg or 30kg depending on the field. A maximum of 7 kg cabin baggage is allowed including laptops and duty free shopping bags. The overall dimensions of a cabin baggage should be 115 cm (L + W + H) on a Boeing flight and 108 cm (L + W + H) on a Bombardier flight.

SpiceJet’s Boeing 737-900 and Boeing 737-800 aircraft have single class seats for international and domestic aircraft. The Boeing 737-800 aircraft has 189 seats, the Boeing 737-900 has a seating capacity of 212 persons. The Bombardier Q400 aircraft has 78 seats in the single class. Passengers are only allowed to bring certain types of food items such as burgers, non-alcoholic beverages, chocolates, cookies, snacks and sandwiches. Items such as samosas, pakoras, pickles or gravy are not allowed on board to avoid splashing and to maintain hygiene on board.

For some international routes, passengers can buy alcoholic beverages and self-contained alcohol consumption is prohibited. Animals are not allowed on the flight with passengers but can carry live animals on the SpiceJet cargo flight by booking through CARSO services. Passengers carrying animals must provide a certificate of animal health and immunization. Passengers are not allowed to carry their pets on international flights. Blind pedestrians, however, are allowed to carry their guide-dogs on both their international and domestic flights.

  • Failure to give a show at least 45 minutes before the scheduled departure will result in forfeiture of the entire fare.

  • Domestic: INR 2250 per passenger per sector is applicable in case of change or cancellation.
  • For the international sector, a fee of INR 2500 per person is applicable.
